My name is Amy C., and I’m three years sober after struggling with alcohol and drugs through high school and college.
Getting clean meant confronting everything I’d been running from – my identity, my fears, and the pressure to be perfect.
As an Asian woman, I’ve worked to find my place in recovery communities that don’t always reflect my experience. I’m passionate about advocating for women’s rights and LGBTQ+ equality, creating space for people who need to see themselves in these rooms.
My sobriety taught me to show up authentically in every part of my life, to speak honestly about who I am, and to build a foundation that honors my values rather than borrowed expectations.
